In its history, Monza is known to have withstood over 30 different sieges. Despite this fact, the Porta d’Agrate is the only portion of the original fortifications of the city. Nearby are the Cathedral of Saint John, with is black and white marbled façade, and the historical center of the city.

Within the city center, you’ll find several beautiful sites to tour. Be sure to include the Santa Maria in Strada, the Arengario, the 17th century Oratory of St. Gregory, and the Royal Villa that was built during the time of Austrian rule over the village.
