For a holiday built around the great outdoors, this little alpine town has a lot on offer. Adrenalin addicts will find plenty to get the heart pumping from jet boating the Waiau Gorge, bungy jumping off the 35m high Waiau Ferry Bridge, white-water rafting down the Waiau River or quad biking in the mountains.
