Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan

When visiting Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek provides you with wide boulevards, marble buildings, and numerous trees that present a one-of-a-kind experience. Much of the city is dominated by Soviet-era apartments and structures, but as the city has grown since the 1990s, individuality has begun to creep into the city as well. Kyrgyzstan might be difficult to say, but this Central Asian nation certainly offers a unique adventure to enjoy.

With high mountain terrain, ancient cultures that are well-preserved, and world-class resorts to enjoy, there is something for everyone to enjoy with a stay here.

Many who visit Kyrgyzstan for the first time make their way to Issyk Kul Lake. There are beach zones to enjoy along the lake, with snow-capped peaks guarding the lake in view, making it a beautiful destination. It is the world’s second-highest mountain lake in terms of altitude, so bring along some warm clothes even during the warmer months.

Trekking and camping are common activities in Kyrgyzstan, with each region offering its own attractions to enjoy. From Issky Kul Lake, you can head up to the glaciers that surround Karakol. You can explore Torugart Pass. There are skiing opportunities available as well. Something is available in almost every season.

Make sure you visit the various bazaars that can be found throughout Kyrgyzstan during your time here as well. The Osh Bazaar offers a traditional Eastern market, where you can find everything from household appliances to your favorite spices. The Dordoi Bazaar is the largest in the region and is a great place to find some deals.

Or, if you prefer, you can visit Son Kul and live like a nomad during your holiday.

A visit to Kyrgyzstan allows you to choose your own adventure. With hiking, camping, and motorbike tours offered in abundance, you can choose a day trip, a multi-day tour, or something that fits in with your specific schedule.
