Albany is situated in the Willamette Valley, just east of Corvallis and is the 11th largest city in Oregon, U.S.A. Albany can be circumnavigated by train – Amtrak Railroad – and Albany Transit runs buses right through the city between dawn and dusk. There are also a few shuttle services – Linn County Shuttle is one – and a bus loop that operates nearly every day of the week.
Surprisingly, there are many things to do in Albany – if not in the city, in its surround. It is within driving distance of major cities like Portland, Columbus and Vancouver. Albany accommodation is amenable, offering lodges, inns and motels close to public transport.
