Lesotho is one of the smallest nations in the world and is completely surrounded by South Africa. It is also unique because it is the only independent state in the world that is above 1,000m in elevation.
The lowest point in the country is at 1,400 meters, which is the highest low point for a country in the world as well.

The Semonkong Falls are quite impressive. The total drop is over 200 meters. You can swim in the pond that forms below the falls if you wish, though in winter, the falls do ice over and the waters below freeze.
You can also trace dinosaur footprints during your stay, with well-preserved examples located around Morija and Moyeni. Consider the rock art around Liphofung Cave as well to get to know the culture better.
